When using the Helios with an OPA pump and a white light probe it is not possible to set the compression of an amplifier pulses (i.e. the chirp) in a way that is optimal for both the OPA and the white light in Helios.

We have encountered this issue before with <40 fs laser pulses. To solve this problem you need to match the group velocity dispersion (GVD) for all beam paths. This is done by matching the amount of the same refractive material in each beam’s path. Mirror blanks or microscope slides can work in this case.
